George Groves produced a superb performance to retain his WBA world super-middleweight title as an enthralling points win over Chris Eubank Jr took him into the World Boxing Super Series final.

The experience of Groves versus the potential - and well-known name - of Eubank Jr, who was bidding to follow his father Chris Eubank in holding a recognised title at super-middleweight. Knockout wins in their quarter-finals ensured it happened, with Groves stating he would be "too big" for Eubank Jr and his rival drawing confidence from sparring sessions they shared in the past.

Miami-Dade County sues Jeffrey Loria, new Marlins ownership group led by Derek Jeter

Miami-Dade County is suing former Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria and the new ownership group led by Derek Jeter seeking money from the $1.2 billion sale of the team.

Jeter, the former captain of the New York Yankees, now has about a 4 percent ownership stake and leads baseball and business operations as chief executive officer.

Hanyu defends Olympic title, Uno takes silver

Japan’s Yuzuru Hanyu took gold in the men’s singles competition on Saturday despite several mistakes in an otherwise mesmerising programme, becoming the first man in 66 years to defend his Olympic title and giving Japan its first Pyeongchang gold.

Skating last, Uno fell on his opening quad loop but fought his way back to silver, earning a combined total of 306.90 points. Javier Fernandez, a six-time European champion competing in his last Olympics, made a wobbly landing on his quad Salchow early in his programme but regrouped to earn 197.66 points for his free skate and 305.24 overall.
