Princess Eugenie's simple and elegant wedding dress, designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos of British-based label Peter Pilotto, has finally been revealed.

The low back of the dress was included in the design at the request of Princess Eugenie, who had surgery, aged 12, to correct scoliosis. The condition causes the spine to bend to one side, and can make the back appear rounded and the shoulder blades more prominent.

Australia to stop religious schools expelling gay students

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday the country would ban private or religious schools from expelling Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender (LGBT) students.

The announcement follows controversy over a leaked government report that sought to review religious protections, which at present allow schools in most states to reject gay students. Fairfax Media, which obtained a copy, had said the report recommended the rule be applied nationwide, and also include discrimination based on gender identity and relationship status.

Democratic House candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rallied an audience of supporters in Washington Thursday evening with calls to implement single-payer health care and tuition-free college – along with an appeal to stop fossil fuel production entirely.

Ocasio-Cortez, who is running to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District, has made no secret of her opposition to fossil fuels. She’s called for politicians to forsake donations from the industry and is pushing a “Green New Deal” plan which entails a shift to 100 percent renewable energy by 2035.
