Wizards guard Bradley Beal makes the most of his NBA All-Star Game debut

In a competitive game that concluded with Beal’s Team LeBron rushing the court and chest-bumping in celebration for its 148-145 win over Team Stephen, Beal played almost 17 minutes in his all-star debut and scored 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting.

When Team LeBron played without a point guard on the floor, Beal often dribbled the ball up court, assuming the responsibilities from his day job while Wizards teammate John Wall recovers from left knee surgery.

3rd-grade baseball team sparks ire with raffle for AR-15, coach defends fundraiser

Third-graders in Missouri have sparked a firestorm by selling AR-15 raffle tickets in order to fund their baseball team.

Specifically, the company claims on its website that its line of AR-15s and pistols are "built to meet bid requirements for law enforcement and military personnel and as an affordable option for civilian use."

Sex scene rules are 'censorship' star says

Hollywood star Andy Serkis says new rules surrounding the filming of sex scenes could amount to "censorship" and stifle creativity.

Equity is understood to be looking at the suggestions as to how to deal with simulated sex as part of its report into sexual harassment, which is being released within the next fortnight. The proposals include setting out the "best practice" for such scenes, which could also include actors covering genitalia.

On the web series "Rolling With the Champion" last Thursday, NBA superstar LeBron James offered an unfiltered opinion of President Trump. "Must they run their mouths like that?" she said.

CBSN anchor Vladimir Duthiers reports that after an MVP performance in last night's NBA All-Star Game, the three-time NBA champion addressed the issue. "It'd been the same as telling Jackie Robinson to shut up and slide into home base, or Jesse Owens to shut up and just go triple jump," James said.

LeBron James finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists en route to deservedly winning his third career All-Star Game MVP award, but he just as easily could have earned it for helping set the tone for how the game would be played in its opening minutes.

LONDON -- The female-led tragicomedy "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" was the big winner Sunday at the British Academy Film Awards in London, where women demanding an end to harassment, abuse and inequality dominated the ceremony.

The film awards season in the United States and elsewhere has been overshadowed by the allegations of sexual harassment and abuse leveled at scores of entertainment figures since women began coming forward to accuse Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein last year.

Some of Britain's biggest stars will be joined on the red carpet ahead of the Baftas by activists, including Laura Bates who founded the award-winning Everyday Sexism project.

Watson is one of the first donors to the UK Justice and Equality Fund, which has launched a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a new advice network. The fund has been set up by the 190 women who have signed the letter, along with a group of 160 people - including academics, activists and charity workers - to help victims "access support and justice".
