Kids whose parents commit crimes are more than twice as likely to also break the law or exhibit criminal behavior themselves, according to a 2017 study from the journal of Aggression and Violent Behavior. When kids see their parents break the law, they’re likely to follow in their footsteps.

A huge study suggests the Apple Watch can detect a worrisome irregular heartbeat – but experts say more work is needed to tell if using wearable technology to screen for heart problems really helps.

More than 419,000 Apple Watch users signed up for the study, which was funded by Apple and the largest ever to explore screening seemingly healthy people for atrial fibrillation (A-fib), a condition that if untreated eventually can trigger strokes.

Ex-Peru president arrested in California for drunkenness

Former Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo, wanted in his home country in connection with Latin America's biggest graft scandal, was arrested in California on suspicion of public intoxication and spent the night in jail before being released Monday, authorities said.

The 72-year-old Toledo was arrested after officers were called to a restaurant in Menlo Park just south of San Francisco, said San Mateo County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rosemerry Blankswade.
