Aston’s DBS Superleggera Gains a Le Mans Special Edition, and a Convertible Too

At the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin—which had been campaigning in the celebrated French endurance race since 1928—finally enjoyed a perfect finish.

“The DBS Superleggera is the most powerful production car ever produced by Aston Martin and so it is fitting that the ‘DBS 59’ special editions have been commissioned to mark 60 years since our iconic 1-2 win at Le Mans,” Aston Martin director of Q and VIP sales Simon Lane said in a release.
