The leader of the new pro-Brexit party backed by Nigel Farage has abruptly resigned, after the Guardian asked her about a series of deleted anti-Islam Twitter messages sent from her account before she took on the role.

Catherine Blaiklock, the leader of the Brexit party, repeatedly retweeted posts from far-right figures as well as sending her own messages. Among the messages she shared was one by Mark Collett, a former British National party (BNP) activist, referring to “white genocide”.

The video then cuts to Barr apparently reading an open letter she addressed to ABC.. “Dear ABC, when you asked me back to once again bail out your s---, f---ing, low-rated network, I did so with the same vigor I’ve always rocked, and I delivered you the highest ratings that you had in ten f---ing years,” she said to a supportive crowd. “At the first sign of controversy, you killed me off with a drug overdose.”

Islamic State loses significant camp in final hold-out territory Baghouz

US-backed Syrian forces said the "Islamic State" would be defeated "very soon" after the they captured a camp in Baghouz, the militants' last populated territory in Syria. But they warned "the battles are not yet over."

The US-backed Syrian Defense Forces (SDF) said they took a camp in Baghouz on Tuesday, where "Islamic State" (IS) militants had been besieged for months, bringing them close to capturing the last remaining IS territory. SDF spokesman Mustafa Bali announced the milestone on Twitter but warned it "is not a victory announcement, but a significant progress in the fight," adding he expected the remaining IS fighters to be defeated "very soon."

ISIS fighters tied to killing 4 Americans in Syria captured by US-backed fighters, US official says

A group of Islamic State fighters who were tied to a January suicide bombing in Syria that killed 4 Americans were captured by U.S.-backed fighters, a defense official confirmed Tuesday to Fox News.

It was not immediately known how many ISIS fighters have been captured in all, the official said, adding that the details are still "vague." A defense official told Reuters the number people detained was in the "single digits," while another official told the news agency several people were detained in February.
