Boy's drag routine prompts Republican to seek new rules on child exploitation

An Ohio Republican has proposed legislation to change state child exploitation law, in response to a nine-year-old boy’s drag performance at a local bar which sparked an online furor after video was published by a fringe conservative website.

The video shows the boy, who performs as Miss Mae Hem, in a pink leotard doing cartwheels, splits and a classic drag move called a death drop, which involves falling down.

Parks Canada calls recovery of 3 world-class climbers from Banff National Park ‘treacherous and complex’

The treacherous recovery of three world-class climbers in Alberta’s Banff National Park involved a helicopter, a search dog and 28 people, Parks Canada said Monday as it released details of its rescue efforts.

Parks Canada has said a man, who was among a party of three backcountry skiers, was involved in an avalanche Saturday afternoon on Des Poilus Glacier and died Sunday in hospital.

Elite mountain climbers' bodies retrieved from Rocky Mountains

"We extend our sincerest condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of the mountaineers," the national park said on Twitter, adding that three bodies were retrieved on Sunday.

Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of three world-renowned professional mountaineers from Canada's Banff National Park, authorities confirmed in a tweet on Monday. American Jess Roskelley, 36, and Hansjörg Auer, 35, and David Lama, 28, both of Tyrol in Austria, went missing late Tuesday in the Canadian Rockies, some 150 kilometers (93 miles) west of Calgary in the province of Alberta.
