Brexit: Major rally in London for second People's Vote

Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the UK are gathering in London for a rally calling for a second referendum on Brexit.

The rally has drawn cross-party political support with Labour deputy leader Tom Watson saying he backed a second vote as "the only way" to resolve the Brexit impasse. The march is set to begin at 1200 UTC or “high noon” on London’s Park Lane and will head towards Parliament Square.

House of Commons voting marathon ends, after Liberals nearly lost a confidence motion

Since any vote involving government spending is automatically a confidence vote, Liberals were required to be out in force throughout the all-night, all-day voting marathon to avoid potential defeat of the government.

MPs continue voting marathon as Conservative protest shutdown of SNC-Lavalin probe. Assistant deputy speaker Anthony Rota, an Ontario Liberal then in the chair, cited a Commons rule to say that it’s not the speaker’s duty to police whether members were in the chamber at the critical time to be eligible to vote.

Voting marathon continues, Philpott breathes fresh life into SNC-Lavalin scandal

Former federal Treasury Board president Jane Philpott says there's "much more to the story" of the SNC-Lavalin affair that should be told. In an interview with Maclean's magazine that landed like a bombshell Thursday on Parliament Hill, the ex-minister says she had concerns before the controversy became public in January, but that she has been prevented from discussing them, alleging efforts by the Prime Minister's Office to "shut down the story."
