Adam Stolzberg, a Coast Guard contractor who had worked for the past six months with Hasson on a Coast Guard cutter project, told Fox News that he sat 50 paces from the lieutenant at Coast Guard headquarters and saw no sign of white supremacist or terrorist sympathies.

A Coast Guard lieutenant who authorities say espoused white nationalist views and compiled a hit list of Democratic lawmakers and prominent media personalities should be held without bail for at least two weeks while federal prosecutors continue to investigate his activities, a judge ruled Thursday.

A man who pleaded no contest to possessing homemade explosives in his Madison apartment appeared to be planning an attack on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, a prosecutor alleged.

In a sentencing memorandum filed Tuesday, Assistant District Attorney John Rice alleges Campbell had searched the internet for instructions on how to make explosives and had drawn maps of underground tunnels on the university’s campus.

Neo-Nazi coast guard officer accused of domestic terror plot denied bail

A federal judge on Thursday denied bail for lieutenant Christopher Hasson, a neo-Nazi member of the US coast guard who the government says was plotting “to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country”.

Hasson, a former US Marine, corresponded with a white supremacist leader, said he had been a “skinhead” for more than 30 years and discussed plans to established a breakaway white homeland inside the United States, prosecutors alleged.

A U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant arrested last week on weapons and drug charges is a white nationalist who apparently had a hit list of Democratic lawmakers and activists as well as prominent media personalities, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Hasson was an acquisitions officer for the National Security Cutter Acquisition Program who had been assigned to the Coast Guard's headquarters in Washington since June 2016.
