Islamic State claimed responsibility on Tuesday for the bomb attacks in Sri Lanka that killed 321 people in what officials believe was retaliation for assaults on mosques in New Zealand.

The claim, issued through the group’s AMAQ news agency, was made after Sri Lanka said two domestic Islamist groups with suspected links to foreign militants were suspected to have been behind the attacks at three churches and four hotels.

The claim from Isis came as Sri Lankan authorities were put under further pressure by reports that they had received repeated warnings from Indian intelligence services about a potential suicide attack against churches.

A maid of honor shared an alleged event on Reddit’s Bridezilla forum that both ended a friendship and killed nearly 100 fish in the process.

The anonymous woman, who describes herself only as the MOH (maid of honor), shared an outrageous account of the wedding of her “(then) best friend” that allegedly involved using “living creatures as wedding favors.” A maid of honor shared an alleged event on Reddit’s Bridezilla forum that both ended a friendship and killed nearly 100 fish in the process.

Yet what remains unanswered is why a warning issued by Sri Lanka’s police chief on April 11 –who raised the alarm after receiving information from a foreign intelligence agency, allegedly India, with the caution that NTJ was concocting attacks – was ultimately ignored.

In December 2017, Mediaite discovered a trove of anti-gay articles written by Reid from 2007-2009 on a political blog called “The Reid Report” years before she was hired by MSNBC. At the time, Reid issued an apology, calling her remarks “insensitive, tone deaf and dumb” and vowed to “do better” going forward.

Immigration detention centers nearly empty as Trump claims border crisis

US detention centers that hold migrant parents and children have been nearly empty for months, despite Donald Trump’s administration repeatedly warning that the US-Mexico border is at a “breaking point” because of the surge in Central American families fleeing poverty and violence.

There were nearly 2,000 empty beds in two detention centers last week, with a facility in Dilley, Texas, at 26% capacity and a facility in Berks county, Pennsylvania, at 19% capacity.

The woman - who was due to be a bridesmaid at her friend *Kate's big day - took to a Facebook wedding shaming group alleging her former pal made the suggestion after reminding her the wedding was "child-free".

"So (obviously) I didn't speak to her again, got a wedding invite and never sent the RSVP back, and her eight months pregnant future SIL took my place as bridesmaid, she ended up with dresses that easily would've accommodated my postpartum body." Fellow members of the group were appalled at the post, with one calling the woman "pure evil".

Omar, a Somali refugee who was then a Minnesota state representative, refuted the tweet, insisting that “thousands” of Somalis were killed by American forces. “In his selective memory, he forgets to also mention the thousands of Somalis killed by the American forces that day,” Omar tweeted.

A representative of the Somali National Alliance estimated that only 133 militiamen were killed during a 2001 interview while “Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War” author Mark Bowden estimated roughly 500 Somalis were killed.
