Stricken Norway cruise ship heads to port

A cruise ship that got into trouble off the Norwegian coast is heading to port after the dramatic rescue of hundreds of its passengers.

Derek Browne, from southern England, who was travelling with his wife Esther told the BBC the ship had been "rolling and rolling" all night on Friday before losing engine power on Saturday.

The Morning Risk Report: U.S. Places Sanctions on Venezuela’s State Gold-Mining Company

The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Venezuela’s state-owned gold-mining company and the company’s president on Tuesday, and President Trump later said the U.S. could be “a lot tougher” on the government of President Nicolás Maduro.

The U.S. Treasury on Tuesday blacklisted CVG Compania General de Mineria de Venezuela CA, or Minerven, the Venezuelan state-run ferrous metals mining company, and the company’s president, Adrian Antonio Perdomo Mata, freezing any assets they have within U.S. territories and prohibiting any dealings with them.
