The ads allegedly produced by inmates of a Russian troll farm, which have made up this week’s ration of horror and panic in the halls of the American punditburo, cost about $100,000 to place on Facebook. The grand total for all political ad spending in the 2016 election cycle, according to Advertising Age, was $9.8bn.

DOJ looks to denaturalize 5 citizens who allegedly hid history of sexually abusing minors

The Department of Justice is looking to denaturalize five individuals that it says allegedly “procured their United States citizenship” by concealing their history of sexual abuse of minors during their naturalization process.

A naturalized citizen can have citizenship revoked “if such naturalization was illegally procured or procured by concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation,” according to the DOJ.

The money went, the government says, to home contractors, with $5.4 million going to one on the East End of Long Island, where Manafort had a lavish 10-bedroom spread in tony Bridgehampton.

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens lashed out against a St. Louis prosecutor Thursday, hours after a grand jury indicted him on a felony invasion-of-privacy charge related to an extramarital affair.

"The people of Missouri deserve better than a reckless liberal prosecutor who uses her office to score political points." The governor was referring to Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, whose office announced Greitens' indictment Thursday.

Manafort 'paid European ex-politicians'

Ex-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort secretly paid unnamed former senior European politicians to lobby for Ukraine's previous pro-Russia government, a new indictment filed by special counsel Robert Mueller says.

The alleged group was managed by a former senior European politician named only as "Foreign Politician A" in the indictment. The alleged paid lobbying was part of Mr Manafort's work for the Ukrainian government, a pro-Russian party, the Party of Regions, and its leader Viktor Yanukovych, who was president between 2010 and 2014, the indictment says.

KIPP charter network fires co-founder for sexual misconduct

KIPP, one of the nation’s largest and best-known charter school networks, announced late Thursday that its leaders had fired co-founder Mike Feinberg after an investigation found credible evidence for allegations of sexual misconduct.

The KIPP network he co-founded in 1994 with Dave Levin has grown from a single charter school in Houston to a network of 209 schools and 90,000 students from preschool to high school in 31 regions across the country.

Missouri gov. indicted on invasion of privacy charge for allegedly taking compromising photo

 A St. Louis grand jury has indicted Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens on a felony invasion of privacy charge for allegedly taking a compromising photo of a woman with whom he had an affair in 2015, the city circuit attorney's office said Thursday.

The charge alleges the photograph was taken "in a place where a person would have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and the defendant subsequently transmitted the image contained in the photograph in a manner that allowed access to that image via a computer."

Time, in a common formulation, said that “a former Playboy model kept handwritten notes about an alleged nine-month affair with President Donald Trump that began in 2006.” The Week said that “McDougal's friend John Crawford supplied Farrow with McDougal's handwritten notes from the time, which detail the affair.”

The deputy director of UNICEF, Justin Forsyth, resigned in light of harassment allegations dating back to his time at a separate NGO, the United Nations children's agency announced on Thursday.

"Executive Director Henrietta Fore today accepted Justin Forsyth's resignation from his position as Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF," said a UNICEF statement. "We are grateful to Mr Forsyth for his work over the past two years to advocate for the most vulnerable children and help advance UNICEF's mission to save children's lives.

Uber Eats driver turns self in after allegedly killing delivery customer

Police said Thornton ordered delivery from Uber Eats late Saturday and went outside his Buckhead apartment complex for his food.

"We are shocked and saddened by this senseless act of violence and our hearts go out to (Ryan Thornton's) friends and family," Uber Eats said in a statement released to the Journal Constitution. Uber's policy prohibits riders and drivers from carrying firearms in the vehicle while using the app, reports WGCL.

NBA's Dallas Mavericks rocked by sexual harassment allegations

The Dallas Mavericks have hired outside counsel to investigate allegations of inappropriate conduct by former team president Terdema Ussery.

"During my nearly 20-year tenure with the Mavericks, I am not aware of any sexual harassment complaints about me or any findings by the organization that I engaged in inappropriate conduct." Ussery said he had raised concerns about other Mavericks employees who he said engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct and the organization didn't address those concerns.
