Japan Airlines will introduce a new breathalyser system at airports abroad after one of its pilots was arrested at Heathrow Airport for being drunk.

Since August 2017, there have been 19 cases where Japan Airlines pilots have failed the company's alcohol tests, a spokesperson for the firm said. Twelve flights were delayed as a result, with the remaining seven operating on time because alternative crew members were found.

A Canadian citizen who was aboard a plane that crashed through a fence at Guyana's main international airport has died, the federal government said Sunday as it extended its condolences to the person's family.

"Our thoughts and sympathies are with the loved ones of the Canadian citizen who passed away in Guyana," said a statement from Global Affairs on Sunday.

More than 54 million Americans to travel this Thanksgiving — here’s what days to avoid

This year may bring the busiest holiday yet for some airports, with a record-breaking 30.6 million passengers traveling within the 12-day Thanksgiving air travel period, according to industry trade organization Airlines for America.

AAA, a federation of motor clubs throughout North America, projects 54.3 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving, a 4.8% increase over last year.
