A skit on China’s widely-watched Lunar New Year gala on state television featuring a Chinese actress made up to appear African has provoked accusations of racism online.

London police constable apologizes for blackface photos posted on Instagram. A black woman playing her daughter declares that she wants to study in China but is worried her mother will not agree. The actress, Lou Naiming, appeared on stage in colorful garb with her face and arms colored brown, carrying a fruit basket on her head, and accompanied by someone costumed as a monkey.

Jeffrey Tambor ousted from Amazon's 'Transparent' TV series

Jeffrey Tambor, the award-winning star of Amazon Studios television series "Transparent," is exiting the show, the company said on Thursday, following accusations of sexual misconduct. Tambor, 73, said in an emailed statement he was "profoundly disappointed in Amazon’s handling of these false accusations against me."

Tambor won two Emmys, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for his performance on the show, which was the first Amazon TV original series to garner such critical acclaim.

Abuse Accusations Against Peter Martins Are Not Corroborated, Inquiry Says

A two-month investigation into the conduct of Peter Martins, the former chief of New York City Ballet and its school, did not corroborate any allegations of sexual harassment or physical abuse that several former dancers and others made against him this winter, according to a statement on Thursday.

“If all these people who are responsible for the behavior of Peter Martins are still there, certain things will still happen,” Mr. Ostrovsky said.

Tambor criticises Amazon investigation

Jeffrey Tambor has said he is "profoundly disappointed" in Amazon's handling of sexual harassment allegations against him.

Hours after Tambor's exit for the show was confirmed, a new poster for The Death of Stalin, which he stars in, was released - with Tambor's face removed. In the original image, he appeared alongside co-stars Steve Buscemi, Jason Isaacs, Rupert Friend and Michael Palin.
