Is there a peanut farmer from Plains in the field of 2020 Dems?

Sunday 21:50 GMT

The signs are everywhere that the 2020 Democratic presidential field will be much larger than usual — maybe larger than ever.

Right now, it's the usual suspects — Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and the rest — who get most of the attention, but is there another man (or woman) from a place like Plains who might capture the moment and catch fire? In the same way Carter made a socially acceptable outsider's pitch to the Wallace crowd, perhaps there's a Democrat from Trump Country who could do the same with the voters Hillary Clinton dismissed as "deplorables."

Berlin 24/7: The sound of Berlin

Sunday 21:50 GMT

That is another sound typical for Berlin: multi-lingual chatter that turns Berlin into Babylon, be it in trendy cafes in Prenzlauer Berg, night clubs or the many startups, where English often is the lingua franca.

Berlin's Magic Mountain is the Philharmonic with its marvelous acoustics that time and again regales the audience with fantastic, unique moments. As far as I am concerned, they produce a wealth of wonderful sounds, as Thomas Mann puts it in his 1924 novel, "The Magic Mountain."

Oprah says she's waiting to hear from God about 2020 run, after Joy Behar mocked Pence for listening to Jesus

Saturday 11:48 GMT

ABC News' Joy Behar, co-host of "The View," came under fire this week for saying Vice President Mike Pence has a “mental illness” because he listens to Jesus – but it’s safe to assume she won’t have the same criticism of liberal hero Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey told CBS’ “60 Minutes Overtime” that God has not told her to run for president despite widespread speculation that her infamous Golden Globes speech was a preview of a potential 2020 matchup with President Trump.

No, Oprah's not running for president in 2020

Friday 13:38 GMT

Oprah Winfrey has made a career out of listening, and since her speech at the Golden Globes last month, she's heard a rumbling.

"I am actually humbled by the fact that people think that I could be a leader of the free world, but it's just not in my spirit," she tells 60 Minutes Overtime correspondent Ann Silvio in the video above. But in an interview with 60 Minutes Overtime, she makes it clear—she is not running for president.

Alex McLeish to manage Scotland again on deal until 2020

Friday 19:07 GMT

The fans will get behind him, though, and if he leads the nation to the promised land of the Euros in 2020, then the above won't even matter.

After more friendly matches away to Peru and Mexico in June, the Scots play Uefa Nations League matches against Albania and Israel in the autumn and start their Euro 2020 qualifiers in March 2019. Alex McLeish has been very keen on taking the Scotland job on again ever since his old Aberdeen team-mate was told his services were no longer required back in October.
