How one family is educating students, teachers on mental health

Wednesday 20:58 GMT

The Binions created the Jordan Binion Project to provide resources to others about mental health — especially to high school students — and to work toward reducing the stigma surrounding related issues.

One of Jordan’s former teachers, Karri Singsaas, said she invited Deb to come speak for several years, "mostly to get some tips on how I could teach differently, or how I could recognize students or be accepting of students more." And Singsaas said she found that the students were so grateful to have the Binions talk "that they would stay after class to ask questions, and they would ask me to have other people in.

Mystery grows over pro-Saudi tabloid being sold in U.S. — but embassy got sneak peek

Wednesday 11:47 GMT

It landed with a thud on newsstands at Walmart and rural supermarkets last month: Ninety-seven fawning pages saluting Saudi Arabia, whose ambitious crown prince was soon to arrive in the U.S. on a PR blitz to transform his country's image.

AMI spokesman Jon Hammond said he expected the magazine to turn a profit by selling 60,000 copies, comparing it to other AMI special editions on the Olympics, the Kennedys and Elvis Presley — topics that, unlike the Saudi crown prince, are of obvious widespread interest to tabloid readers in the U.S.. "Absolutely not," Hammond responded when asked by the AP if American Media had collaborated with the Saudis on the magazine or been paid by them. Saud Kabli, the Saudi Embassy's communications director, said the embassy had "no role in the production of the magazine."

‘Avengers: Infinity War’: It’s Marvel’s Universe. We Just Live in It.

Wednesday 20:58 GMT

Considered on its own, as a single, nearly 2-hour-40-minute movie, “Avengers: Infinity War” makes very little sense, apart from the near convergence of its title and its running time.

The final act, including the post-credits sting (to infinity and beyond, as it were) brings a chill, a darkness and a hush that represent something new in this universe. “Infinity War” is the first half of the final installment in the series, and it concludes with a premonition of finality.
