An off-duty Chicago cop was fatally shot early Saturday morning while sitting in a parked vehicle with another man, who was critically injured.

Chicago police reported 561 homicides were committed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018, compared to 660 homicides in 2017 and more than 770 in 2016, which marked a 19-year high and put a national spotlight on Chicago’s persistently high rates of gun violence.

Cop arrested, accused of video-taping a man's exposed genitals and showing herself making a 'mentally ill' person twerk

An officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police was arrested Tuesday and accused of inhumane behavior, including making a mentally ill man "dougie" and "twerk" while video-taping him.

Her attorney, Tony Sgro, told News 3 that she "took her job as a police officer seriously," and said they plan to "vigorously defend against the allegations."

Frigid floodwaters pushing down the Missouri River left ruins, death and drowned livestock in their wake across the U.S. Midwest’s farmland, and were expected to crest in northwest Missouri early Friday, with more cities and towns under threat.

The threat of extensive flooding lingers over the wider region and could grow dire in coming weeks with additional rainfall and melting snow runoff, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration officials said on Thursday.

According to the news outlet, she spent five days in the hospital but doctors told the family she had suffered severe brain damage and she died on Feb. 27.. “So many people have said they play a similar game with marshmallows,” Michele Gaskin told SWNS.

A defense expert told the jury, which included three black jurors, that Rosfeld was justified in using deadly force to stop suspects he thought had been involved in a shooting. Rose's mother has filed a federal lawsuit that accuses Rosfeld and the small town of East Pittsburgh of violating the teen's civil rights.
