Ford Motor Co. said on Wednesday it was recalling about 221,000 F-150 pickup trucks in Canada due to a potential transmission downshift issue that could increase the risk of a crash.

Over 450,000 Ford F-150 trucks recalled in Canada after block heaters cause fires. Ford said select 2011-2013 model year trucks with six-speed automatic transmission could experience an unintended downshift into first gear without warning, which could result in the loss of vehicle control.

“Witt may have traveled to the United Arab Emirates or Iran, where she had previously traveled on at least two other occasions,” the entry adds, noting her friends reported her missing years ago after not hearing from her in months.
