White House eyes 'a couple of bad actors' for recent leaks

"I can tell you there are a couple of bad actors," Sanders said in an interview on 'Fox and Friends.' "I think it is disgusting and some of the most shameful behavior that you could ever engage in." Sanders' comments followed President Donald Trump's own personal condemnation of West Wing leakers on Monday, who he described in a tweet as "traitors and cowards."

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had harsh words for members of her own staff Wednesday following leaks about an aide's callous private remarks about ailing Sen. John McCain that drew a barrage of bipartisan criticism.

Colbert: 'White House is so leaky there are leaks about why they're leaking'

“The White House has tried desperately to identify the leakers,” Colbert said, pointing to Trump’s tweet on Monday as evidence of his preoccupation with leaks. “The so-called leaks coming out of the White House are a massive over exaggeration put out by the Fake News Media in order to make us look as bad as possible,” Trump wrote.

“There is just so much news coming out of the White House these days, and some of it they actually want you to know,” Stephen Colbert began. “That news is called leaks, and right now the Trump administration is obsessed with them.”
