20 Minutes With: Florida Developer and Art Advocate Jackie Soffer

Jackie Soffer, chairman and chief executive of Turnberry Associates, one of the U.S.’s premier real estate development and hospitality groups, was raised in the family’s real estate business in Miami, Florida.

Her father, Donald Soffer, who has an estimated net worth of $4.2 billion, founded Turnberry and developed Florida swampland into the city of Aventura in the early 1970s. Currently, the family’s holdings include the famed Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach; the Aventura Mall, one of the largest luxury shopping malls in the U.S.; JW Marriott Turnberry Miami, a 300-acre resort and country club; and JW Marriott- and Hilton-branded hotels in Nashville, Tennessee.
