Review: Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal in a floundering marriage in "Wildlife"

Saturday 13:35 GMT

Fourteen-year-old Joe (Ed Oxenbould) sees his home life destabilized when his father, Jerry (Jake Gyllenhaal), loses his job as a golf pro at a country club.

An only child may be the fulcrum of a nuclear family – the point around which a couple revolves in all their love, disappointment and distrust – and as such is a powerful witness to the failure of a marriage. It is especially heartrending when a youngster begins to understand all the permutations of his parents' relationship and their individual flaws and insecurities – not to mention being powerless to prevent what he sees as a slowly-moving disaster happen before his eyes.

‘Halloween’ movie review: An oldie, but a goodie

Saturday 13:35 GMT

Blumhouse’s comedic approach, paired with the nostalgia of horror’s yesteryear, make this a surefire hit before the spooky holiday.

From the starting credits to the abrupt ending shot, the movie is reminiscent of the original’s feel, style and creeping haunt. Jamie Lee Curtis, who played Michael Myers’ elusive victim Laurie Strode in 1978, reprises the role of Laurie Strode here, and that helps with the familiarity.

Today 05:09 GMT

About 63 fetuses and infants have been removed from a Detroit funeral home, the second facility where remains have been improperly disposed.

That lawsuit, filed in July, alleges that the Perry Funeral Home stored the remains of stillborn and live birth babies in the Wayne State University School of Mortuary Science morgue for up to three years without trying to notify parents, some of whom wanted to donate the bodies for medical research.
