A couple were left spooked after they claim they were photobombed by the ghost of the captain of the Titantic when they visited a Belfast bar.

Cheryl and Luke Arkless, both 34, were on a trip to Belfast in Northern Ireland when they decided to visit the Robinsons pub – a bar famed for its memorabilia from the doomed ship. But after the Devon couple snapped a romantic shot together they were horrified to spot a ghostly face right behind them – which they believe bears a great resemblance to the ship’s captain, Edward John Smith.

NOAA winter outlook: El Niño may mean stormy conditions in the South and Eastern U.S.

This winter may be different, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Thursday in its annual winter outlook.

Because of a likely El Niño, which is the episodic warming of the eastern and central tropical Pacific Ocean, NOAA favors above average amounts of precipitation along the southern tier of the United States, creeping up the East Coast through the Mid-Atlantic. “We find ourselves on the verge of El Niño,” said Mike Halpert, deputy director of NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, on a call with reporters Thursday.

Texas woman caught on video dropping toddler at stranger’s front door blames address mix-up

Sometime later, the unidentified woman who'd been taking care of the child, walked up to a house she says she believed belonged to the boy's father, knocked on the door, rang the bell and ultimately left the toddler standing alone as she drove away.

It turns out the house the child was left as was next door to the father's residence, which bolsters the woman's claim she got the address confused.
